Join us Sat. Dec. 7, 6:30-9:30pm at The Guilty Dog Coffee House in Port Credit, along with Port Credit Emporium,
for a Caribbean Christmas event, with special menu items, and the
opening of my show at the coffee house, too! Stay for the evening, or
just drop by. If you can't make it that evening, my work will be
showing in the coffee house through late January.

Sketches
I am working on a workshop/course proposal about sketchbooks... It's a process, I want to be organized and there's a lot of things to look at.
Also, this weekend is the end of my show of my butterflies at Woodside Pottery & Gallery Craighurst in the Barrie, Ontario area. There is a new show going up on Sept. 2. They will continue to carry a few of my pieces, like my silk clutches.

Gallery Craighurst
We took a trip up to Craighurst, ON, north of Barrie today to bring a selection of my work to Woodside Pottery & Gallery Craighurst. The owner is a potter himself, and has his studio space attached to this gallery shop, in which he sells work by various artists and craftspeople, including his own work of course. He visited the Spring OOAK show, where I had a small booth back in March. He now has some of my butterflies, scarves, and silk clutches.

One of a Kind Show Spring 2013 Recap
Back at the One of a Kind Show I received this gift from another vendor -- they are into real insect specimens, and had several of the same varieties of butterflies that I've made in fibre. We had quite a chat about them. This top left one is very similar to one I made a while ago. The cocoons are from luna moths.
These are from the One of a Kind Show, my booth during setup, the centre aisle feature display, and a closeup of some of my clutches, which were included in the feature display.

Happy Summer!
Since I last checked in to my blog, I've been doing some sewing again for another textile artist, Noelle Hamlyn, like I did for a while last year. I'm gearing up to do the Artisan Studio Tour again in October, including planning some more of the striped silk clutches, and framed butterflies. Also, I recently joined Spoonflower, and have been playing with some fabric designs. I haven't had any of them printed yet, but if I do, I'll share what they look like.

Artisan Studio Tour photos
I managed to get a small number of photos taken at the Artisan Studio Tour, before my camera battery ran out of juice. The butterflies and jewellery are my work, the book bags and other pieces are the work of Noelle Hamlyn. We were also teamed up with potter Adam Beales, but I didn't get pictures of his display (sorry Adam!).

Working on...
A few different things being worked on at the moment, including helping another artist with a run of her products she's getting ready for some winter shows.
Next week I'm meeting with someone about a show/studio tour in October that I might be taking part in.
Also met with someone today who purchased one of my butterfly frames as a gift for someone else, who'd seen me at TOAE, which (although it may be a little confusing to follow), is pretty neat.

Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition
Well, I took it pretty easy yesterday, since the show on Friday through Sunday was so busy! Thank you to everyone who came to the show, it was great being supported by my friends & family, and meeting so many great people - both visitors and other artists.
Here's some photos from the show, my booth in this post, and some of my favourites to follow!
