Garden

Sat outside with coffee and breakfast this morning, then took my camera for a walk around the garden.  It's great to have some flower photos around for inspiration sometimes, the shapes and colours are brilliant.
Also took more jewellery photos, for the purposes of inventory, adding to Etsy, and possible portfolio use.
I think I came indoors just in time to avoid a sunburn.  I'll apply sunscreen before I go back outside.

Meanwhile, here's a handful of photos from the garden, and of some pieces now on Etsy.

Weather

Sunny day today.  I spent a little time outside taking some photos of my jewellery.  I saw that many of the flowers are out, ie. irises, pinks, and not too far behind will be the peonies and roses.  I'm hoping to take a few photos over the weekend.

Etsy!

Well, my Etsy is under way.  You might notice I've added an Etsy box to link to it from the blog.  There's just a few things on there, all cards at the moment, it takes time to photograph and upload all this stuff, and of course the intent is that it's ongoing, so if you like it, it should be worth checking back from time to time.

Etsy

Next step is Etsy!  Working on that today.

Showing work online

I've updated my textiles portfolio on Issuu, and I'm working on a website.  That could take a fair bit of time.

Another portfolio link

I've put up a link to my jewellery portfolio on Issuu, you can see it here.

I'm also in the process of adding to my textiles portfolio, with images of things I didn't have pictures of before, etc.  That still needs work, but here's one photo I took the other day which I quite like.

Out Of Hand

Our grad show opened last night with a lovely, and very well attended, reception.  It's up until May 14th at the Whippersnapper gallery in Toronto.

To-do Lists

Why is it that since the term finished, it feels like my to-do list has gotten longer, not shorter?
One of several things on it is to clean up my art/craft supplies and workspace, so that I can regroup and decide what to work on next, possibly getting my paints out for a while.

Gah!

I, being a silly goose, forgot to take a picture of the finished flower I built using the petals from my previous post's photo, before sending it on its way.  Ah well.  I really liked the result so I wouldn't be surprised if I make similar ones in the near future.
