Evening Clutches Coming Soon!!

I know it's been a while, but the first few silk evening clutch purses are nearly ready!!  There will be 3 sizes/shapes to start out, and I'm just going to see how they go and adjust accordingly.  Here's a little teaser photo!  Look for them in my Etsy Shop soon, I'll post again when they're up.

Also, go check out this blog post where of my bookmarks is featured!

Feelin' Hot Hot Hot

Pleased with today's world cup semi result, Spain vs. Netherlands in the final should be a good one.

I really should come up with a better system for painting.  I have an easel, which is great, especially for larger pieces, but with small ones, I usually work on the floor.  I like being able to spread supplies out, but it doesn't do my back and knees any favours.

I've got some neat Etsy related news -  I've had an item featured in a treasury list, and another on a blog!

June 22 already

Happy Summer!

I've noticed that there are days it's hard to think of something to write about without dismissing it as boring (note to self: post it anyway!), and other days when there are so many ideas for posts in my head it's hard to pick one.

Just now I was looking at another blog belonging to classmates' of mine, Milk And Bread, and their post today features a picture of an artist's work which thanks to its somewhat postal theme in turn reminded me of another artist - Harriet Russell. Harriet Russell is an illustrator in the UK, who I became aware of doing an assignment about mail art.  She tested the postal system by creating puzzles with addresses which had to be solved if they were to be successfully delivered.

FRIDAY!

I really didn't know what to blog about today, given that the blog is about my creative activities.  That said, tomorrow I hope to go paper scouting, there's a great little shop not far from here, and I'm looking for ideas for these wedding invitations I've been asked to make.  So, maybe I'll come back with some fun colours of paper to play with.

Beyond that, I've watched soccer, taken some photos, made I think 3 new Etsy listings, done laundry, and we discovered not long ago that there is a mouse in the bird feeder!  Sorry if you're freaked out by the mention of mice, but it was an entertaining moment.
